I don't have any statistical information on hand to either validate nor disclaim that notion -- however, considering that the majority of the world is metric, including every country that the comic would have been exported aside from the US, it would be reasonable to summise that a significant percentage of readers would be pro-metric.

But we digress from my main gripe, which was the the whole "we don't care about the rest of the world" (or "we only care about the US") attitude -- the insular attitude, that not only fuels negative sentiments and stereotypes against Americans, but in this case, has reaped negative results against Transfans -- which is what is at the core of this rantage; Transfans being screwed over because companies just couldn't care less.
