Subject: Powermaster Optimus Prime with Apex Armor

This is the first TRU re-issue I've picked up in the US. I might have grabbed a Rodimus Major(Hot Rod) if I'd had access to a TRU at the time they were available, but that's unimportant.

Hasbro finally brought the vastly improved God Ginrai mold to the US and Godbomber with it. They made the trip fairly intact, though the missiles were lengthened a bit. Though I'm leaving the 2 bots displayed separately, launcher unloaded.

Hasbro handled this well. They could have left out Godbomber, even used the inferior mold for a true re-issue, but they didn't and it was a smart move.

I was amazed by the figure, having it in my hands. I knew I'd get ahold of a God Ginrai someday, somehow. The 50 USD was worth it, I think. At least, I probably wouldn't pay the same for a G1 PM Prime after seeing a better alternative.

So, I have Godbomber. I admit, the figure isn't that impressive, he's parts. A true brick, articulated by pure coincidence. He's armor, and for that, he's a nice addition. And compared to what was charged for Prime and Magnus, Apex Bomber rounded out to being a $10 pack-in toy.

And Ginrai is now US canon. Hi-Q wasn't kept, and yeah, they probably changed it as fan bait. I'm not complaining.
