I didn't watch the movie, I just flipped through scenes to get a feel for it, because I just got it in the mail yesterday and won't be able to watch it for several days. But in one scene that I saw, he looks exactly like Spike from 1984.

Zeta Gundam was 0087 and ZZ Gundam was after that. They had to get it after those. I also got F91 and G-Saviour. They are set a LONG time after the original.
