That was probably the best of the April Fools jokes. The worst was probably done by me, when I "announced" that I was leaving the Iacon Literary Society (a Transformers fan fiction message board I administrate [http://pub70.ezboard.com/biaconliterarysociety]). Two of the other good ones were 1) a news item at TransformerSource saying that FOX Kids was delaying Armada due a dispute about how mautre the content should be, and that the toys would be delayed as a result, and 2) a news item at Transfandom.com saying that Hasbro was planning to re-launch the Gobots toy line as a spin-off to Armada.
