There's no way a box could hold megatron and even if Starscream found one made of solid dynastream(TM) he:

a) wouldn't have the time to trap him - megs usually only transforms for a quick few shots, and only in the heat of battle when screamer would be more interested in fighting those who are attacking him.

b) Soundwave would just come along and get him out of the box.

c) it wouldnt make for a very exciting episode as opposed to building a new combiner team, ie combaticons
