Yes. Definitely yes. The shape of a Valkyrie's canopy, undercarriage et al is significantly different from that of an F-14 Tomcat's.

These aren't just differences that have arisen due to toy engineering/construction, they were intended to be there -- Robot mode kibble aside, the Valkyries were never intended to pass off as Tomcats; certainly based on the F-14, but not intended to actually represent the F-14 (re: Kawamori Shouji). Toys like Starscream on the other hand were actually designed and intended to represent an F-15 Fighting Eagle.
