And here we go again!

Playing in their trees: I love to read about this! Kids today don't get quite as much out of imagining with most of the toys around now.

Playing Town: I love this! It's so cute. "they tried to play going to town. They could not do it very well, because they were not quite sure what a town was like."

Town: I just cannot even fathom this. She had lived in that little clearing all her life, never even seeing two houses together, and now to see a town! (Okay, I know that isn't exactly true of the real Laura, but it is true of the book Laura, so I'm imagining her here.)

Ma choosing fabric: How many of you feel like the girls did when you are picking out clothes? There are so many and it's so hard to choose!

Candy: I know I've read something before somewhere about what these candies might be. I guess I kinda envision them like those little candy hearts that come out at Valentine's with the writing on them (I HATE those), but that can't be right, not to get all of Mary's poem on it. Anyone know?

Pebbles: That is a fun memory I have, of gathering pebbles by the creek. Poor little Laura with her torn pocket!

Okay I know I didn't do a great job at this today, but it was never one of my favorite chapters. At least we'll get back to it. I hate that we've lost those other threads. I do hope it gets fixed sometime.
