Kellie, I don't have any problem finishing Old Home Town. I will still have my copy until next week. We are pretty close to the end anyway.

No matter what book we decide on, I definately think we should continue with the daily book discussions that we have been having. You and Jennifer do a wonderful job of leading our discussions, and I like reading everyone else's thoughts and inputs on the books.

As for my opinion on what books to do, I would like of like to read and discuss West From Home. I never read it before, but I did skim through it in March. In just skimming it, I realize that there may be some parts that don't really lend well to discussion. However, maybe we can move quickly through these parts. Anyway, it would be nice though to finish all of Laura's books.

We have discussed before whether to reread the series from the beginning. I am in agreement with Meadowsweet that it would be a good idea to start over again with Little House in the Big Woods and progress through the series the way we did before.

I know what you mean Meadowsweet about maybe the books have been discussed to death. I know we have had some really in depth discussions of the books; however, I think it would work to reread them and they would still be fresh.

There are a lot of newcomers to the board who weren't around for the last read through the books, so all of their input will certainly be interesting. Also, I have reread these books over and over again, and I always find something new in them. I think the same thing would happen if we reread the books again as a group. We would continue to find new information and thoughts to share. So here is a vote for rereading the series again after West From Home.

One more idea. Last summer we talked about discussing the movie Beyond the Prairie. I was just watching it again with my Mom last weekend. Someday, it might be neat to have a discussion on the board about the movie.
