My son also has problems with Algebra. Most of the time he has the right answer, but the methods he uses to solve the problems are totally different from the teachers. Of course, he then gets the problem wrong even though he has the right answer. What I have done is searched youtube.com for videos to help him. He seems to understand these short videos better than his teacher. Another helper I have used is iTunesU. They have a lot of different video helpers that may assist you. I hope this helps. Good luck and don't be so hard on yourself. Give yourself credit for trying to get help, because some students don't even do that. I know you'll make it, just don't give up.
