I do not know where you live, but having to spend $700 for testing is outrageous. Have you a Scottish Rites place near you. I know they have language labs for learning disabled children. It is a Masonic organisation and often does not charge for helping children.

Our Grandson is severely dyslexic but when he was in American school they would not test him as he was under 8 years old at the time but when we moved to France they tested him straight away and now he gets loads of help. Had we stayed in CA we would have taken him to the Scottish Rites learning centre.
