Hi i have a daughter who is now 9yrs old she as struggled all her life at first with language and speech she was found to be 2yrs behind in both, she was also behind in shcool didn't siter her yr 2 sats as she couldn't read, i am in the uk and here they don't test as it costs money. She is also really struggling with her maths, she seems intelligent she is just not good at reading or paperwork. Or funnily enough punctuation which she definately gets from me as i can't do punctuation. She is struggling with times tables which funnily enough i do but i loved maths i found a way round it. She as irlens she has a pink overlay to help her read, her brother is colour blind don't know wether it associated but we are all very artistic. all my kids were also very early walkers 7mths 9mths 10mths and all have had late speech Melissa the 9yr old was 3 before she could be understood, i was panicking about my younger child who is now 5 she was 3 and half with her speech but she is flying she is reading and maths is her fortee she is like a sponge. Melissa struggle really bad with her memory and her speech she gets muddled up with funnily enough also like me lol. Sharon x
