I am a pre-K teacher and have worked with children for over 23 yrs. I see this stage (semiphonetic-second stage)of writing in my class throughout the year. I had a child graduate a few years back that had no signs of dyslexia when he left. After entering the 1st grade he was tested and disgnosed. Dyslexia is extrememly hard to diagnose, especially children under the age of 7.
