The Japanese language, specifically for reading, is a pictorial language. Normally dyslexic students find pictorial languages easier to learned then English. Working with the Research Foundation of the State University of New York, we have found that dyslexia is primarily an organizational problem, with the need for analytical subject matter, to efficiently overcome the condition.

Once you understand this, the application of these principles become easier. To put in nonprofessionals’ terms, dyslexic’s bounce around in their thinking, from one idea to the next. Their appears to be little, if any organization to this process. As a teacher, therefore, your first task to create boundaries for your dyslexic students. The next issue is to create a storyboard, using highly analytical subject matter.

Please contact me at dyslexi2@dyslexiaconsultants.com so we can discuss this further.
