Wow, I am so sorry you are going through this. I have a daughter that has dyslexia and ADD/ADHD combo that is 11 years old. She does not qualify for an IEP at her school and the whole process has been very difficult on all of us. I would recommend the Sally Shaywitz bood - Overcoming Dyslexia. It's the bible for parents of kids with dyslexia. Your daughter needs a multi-sensory learning program to help her. We know, we tried other things before we realized what would be best for her. (Huntington, Kumon, one-on-one tutoring weekly,) it's not enough. Getting an outside complete evaluation, finding a good program , LindaMood-Bell, Slingerland, Wilson, Orton-Gillingham, these are all proven programs that work. On the personal side - letting her know that this ins't everything in the world - there are other passions and interests that are important as well - dance, singing, gynmastics, whatever - improving her self confidence is very important. Good luck!
