My daughter was the same way. The kids seem to be on overdrive. She and I went through this when very little was known about dyslexia. One thing is for certain...your brain does not work like hers. Best advice is to talk with someone else who is much like your daughter who has grown up.

One silver lining is that they are brilliant (genius in fact) and will start to catch up a bit by 5th grade. Spelling will always be a problem until they are fortunate enough to have a tutor who understands them and takes time with them. I am associated with hundreds of adult dyslexics who have various stories about how they dealt with their dyslexia. The major thread for those who are now engineers, business owners and successful are having had someone who was patient and passed them through to the other side (usually a teacher/tutor). Never heard of a parent who received credit for this.

check my website for links for info about your daughter www.gabbyswordspeller.com/endorse.html
My daughter is now 26 and is thriving very nicely in spite of what we went through.
