My son is severe dyslexic and adhd. What kind of reading program does your public school offer for a dyslexic child? My son is having behavioral issues like avoiding doing the school work and diffcult tasks. He made no progress this year in his reading. They offered him the corrective reading program in special ed but he got kicked out of the program because he was disruptive in class. He has an IEP since first grade but he can't decode, spell, read, write at his grade level. He is very sensitive and does not want to be different or stand out in front of his friends. He has all special ed classes except for music, computers, gym, etc. He does not like when the teacher's aide try to help him because he has low self esteem and gets embrassed very easily in class. How can I get the public school give him one on one tutoring during learning time where they can help out with his weakness, reading, decoding, spelling, writing without embrassing him? He is very bright and he has been struggling with school which builds up a lot of frustration and angry. Please help.
