It is good that you have encouraged your son to work hard. This resilience that you are imparting on him will be the difference between success and failure as he advances through school.

Please note that dyslexic's, like Branson, are gifted in narrow areas. The successful dyslexic work's hard in the limited area that they do very well in, and trade that talent with general education students.

I strongly suggest that you have your son pick one book every two week's at the library, read the book, and write a short report on it. After several years of doing this you will find that his reading and writing skills have increase greatly in this academic area.
