Hi,
I totally understand. Unfortunately, we parents sometimes have to educate the educators. Go and speak with each teacher personally. Make sure they understand what his IEP states. If it doesn't say that he is not to be called on to read out loud then it need to be changed. Along with shortened assignments, and whatever else he needs. At this point does he need to have his history or science book on tape? If so, get that put into his IEP. Make sure he is getting the proper remediation to help him to become the best reader/speller that he can. Susan Barton has a website I think it's called bright solutions. Google it. Also, read Overcomming Dyslexia by Sally Shaywitz.
I just signed up for a seminar on Wright's Law so that I'm sure that I know as much as I can. There's also a website for that too, check it out.
Above all, go speak to his teachers and tell them what he needs. Good Luck!!
