Hi there I am a Secondary HLTA and work with many children on small groups and one to one. Firstly , I like the idea of the different coloured pen for the start for each line. I have been using an interactive whiteboard for the last two years and have founf that dysleic pupils like it when I change the background colour of the board so that it is blacka nd then writeon the black background with different coloured pens. This takes the gleer away from the board and also like your method you can tell the children what colour to copy or start from. Thank you for your tip which I am going to try when I am in a different classroom with out an interactive board.
