You MUST SAY to the principal, "In this district, who is your specialist who is trained in the Orton-Gillingham method of reading instruction?" If he/she doesn't know, say, "For example, the Slingerland Method, the Wilson Method, or Lindamood Bell." Better yet, print out the information pages from their sites and put them in his face. If he offers excuses, say you will go to the district office and ask.
