I completely understand where you are coming from because I am a parent of a 10 year old dyslexic child who also needs an immense amount of help with his homework.
What I did, & I would advice you also to do, is to make an appointment to see his class teacher & learning support , if he has one, to discuss the amount of homework & content.
It is far more benefical for your child to do 30-45mins homework which is aimed at his ability;than to struggle as he is now, wearing you both down. I will now look at my son's homework & "vet" it. If he can do it, with a little support from me, then he will. If not, I will give him something else to do which is far more appropriate & worthwhile. For example, if his maths is too hard, I will give him easier maths or if his English requires 2 pages for a story, then he only needs to complete 1 & I will check it through with him.
