I have two Dyslexic boys one in grade 5. your student can read the letter when it is place on the table in front. The letter has a table which is the background a solid object. The letter takes a new meaning when held in the air with a wide range of background which is reflectable like a whiteboard. It can become blurry and the letter just blends in with the background. Try a solid object like a C for cat. Wether a stuffed toy or the real thing really helps. Remember feeling the object and saying it makes a difference.
