I am sorry you are not getting the response you hoped. I think that is because many parents don’t really worry about if their kids are getting the help they need and have a right to. What I mean is it is so much easier to pass the responsibility on to someone else, and expect them to take care of it. I see this being the case with everywhere I have asked for accommodations myself. Everyone keeps passing the hot potato saying it is someone else’s responsibility. Well that and a mixture of nicely handling someone so to go through the motion of something being done with not process to see what works or not. As long as someone is pretending to go through the motions then the mentality is, that is all that matters. If anyone questions if the child is getting appropriate help, people will start of nice, and if that does not get them to stop will be more forceful, to the point of verbally and almost physically attacking anyone who questions the inaptitude of the system. Again it is just easier to pass it into someone else’s lap and not question anything from there. This is not to say there are not parents who fallow up making sure the accommodations are effective. It just means that most don’t.
