Bill, I know I've mentioned before that I worked for UPS. For as difficult company that they were, they had a formula for life that was pretty well accepted by psychologists. At least those in the profession during the eighties and earlier.

Lifes priorities:

1. Your faith/spirituality came first
2. Family
3. Job
4. Yourself
5. A Hobby that you practice reguarly

They said when you're performing these things well, balanced and in that order, you should be a fairly happy person.

I realize that for us with depression that flares up with little or no consionable reason, its much harder.

I don't really know how to practice these properly. I obviously have 5 and 1 somewhat combined. I don't put aside work at my profession, or at home to give my family the attention they need. And definately don't take care of myself well enough. Still, if I could follow these guidlines ever day with some discipline, I know I'd be much happier.

More early morning ramblings from this boards resident nut.
