Hi Scott...I grew up at the base of Lake Huron in Port Huron, Michigan. My dad and I fished when I was young. Every year when the smelt were running down the St.Clair river, we were up at dawn with our nets...I hated the taste of fish (still do), but to spend that time with my dad was
the greatest thing.

When I got married, we bought a house on a lake. Every year there is a walleye tournament on our lake. The lake is a dirty lake, and some days in the summer it smells like a sewer back there..It's awful sometimes. One day Mike took Sarah back there to fish...she caught two carp...Sarah was so proud of herself that they kept the two fish is a big bucket so I could see them. You would not believe what they looked like...deformed fins...and these large purple lesion like things just posterior to the gills...these fish looked like some science experiment gone bad...They put the fish back into the water after I looked at them, but I wondered if that was in the best interest of the fish????
LOLOLOL

Seems to me that pollution is rearing it's ugly head here in our lake. Have you ever caught a fish that looked deformed?? Kinda sad actually....we don't fish anymore..
I hate to see that kind of reality...

I wish for you many happy fishing trips..

Love, Mikki
