Subject: Water Wars

All this talk of fishing of late, and Mikki's post reminded me, of the on-going water wars....between south and north ...Florida. Ours is purer......at the moment and our springs....are running. Their running out of water down south and want ....to run a pipe down from....us to the southeren portion. Well, some...people....don't want that...and the same for Georgia....I hear too. I often wondered......about that? I've heard of water wars....in the mid-east....where there is nothing but desert, etc. My husband spoke of it to me. I've heard predictions, that...the next war, would be over water, not oil. I pray its not so! I hope people will start....conserving....but I know.....some people don't even think about it. I had a lady......comment on the high price of a bottled...water, she bought. I told her, (Don't you know, America is running out of its......most natural.....and important resource!)!! ?? .........Apparently not....she just looked at me, as if I were a nut, and left. I saw a thing on Discovery channel....about......it.......(Colorado, etc)--and how the echo-system....and water-ways are all connected. It makes me appreciate.......my water anyway! Plus all the beautiful fish......and.......dolphins, etc..in it! I hope...it never happens in my life-time. But it gives one......pause to thought.

I thank God......we have what we have......but I also pray....for better answers.....and...people......stop abusing.....what we do have......and throwing thier beer cans.....into the water, plus their sludge. You know? Well off......my...little soap box,......Gem
