wanted to respond to your post Michele, about gratitude in relation to online friends, i feel the same way. you've made a tremendous difference in my life as so many others here. when I think about it, i'm more than blessed in that respect.
i've received so much support through so many things and that care and concern is first and foremost which has helped me, and it's been nice to actually meet a few and live closer to Sandy and Scott which I never dreamed would happen. Two years ago if you'd said we'd be walking the beach together, I'd have said nice dream. Their support in trying to help me settle in here I can't measure. it'd be too hard.
then i think about that awful time when there was the phone company glitch and I ran up that phone bill because when I was online, it was long distance and NOT my internet service provider and everyone chipped in and paid that phone bill so i could stay online. I will never forget that.
when I moved,the care packages i received with things that brightened my day and helped me with household needs were great.
I have a wooden beaded eagle hanging from Rhonda K (Lorne is very talented, muhs to you Rhonda) a lighthouse welcome to my home hanging from deb (queen of arts and crafts) and a Australian handcrafted Aborigine boomerang from Phil, who was on another board and I had the priviledge of meeting in Vegas a couple years back.
Yes, you are right, while there is negative on the internet and such, true friends really can be found and make such a difference.
