I have worked with senior citizens in many capacities for the last ten consecutive years and I've dealt with many who suffered from lonliness and depression. You certainly have my hand in friendship. You are not alone here and you will find understanding friends.
I came here about three years ago looking for support and so many things in my life has changed due to the love and concern I've received. I've been helped through some of the worst crises I've ever faced, I've made friendships that have blossomed into outright "sibling adoption", and I have even not only met some in person from this board, but recently moved across five states to start a new life being nearer two great friends I met on these support boards.
The internet has its downfalls, but I just wanted to relate to you I'm glad you posted and there are great things about this board and I welcome you as a friend.
