I'm glad you found us. It's a small group here, but a very nice one. I hope you'll stick around. Sounds like your new medication is helping a lot. Sometimes it's just a matter of getting the correct diagnosis and the right medication to make a world of difference. For years I thought my problem was depression but none of the depression meds ever helped and I couldn't understand why. Then I was diagnosed as having ADD and put on medication for that and it was amazing how much better I felt. It seems that the depression was coming from the ADD..which was more a learning type disability. The ADD made it hard for me to deal with too much mental stimulation, such as being in crowded places and feeling a sense of panic, or trying to have a conversation over the sound of other noise...situations where I felt like too many things were coming at me at one time and I was unable to concentrate or process all of it, which left me feeling overwhelmed and therefore depressed. Getting this diagnosis was a God-send to me. I'm not saying I don't have a problem with ADD anymore...I don't think it goes away, but by recognizing what's going on, trying to make a few adjustments and taking meds for it, I'm feeling pretty good most of the time.

Anyway...glad you are reacting well to your new medication and I hope you have many better days ahead.

Take care,
Sandy
