Advice is cheap, so i will throw in my 2 cents of advice and hope you can take something useful from it for yourself.
When i am going thru a very rough period, i manage myself one day at a time. I sleep alot, i try and push myself to be in nature a little (whether that means taking a little walk every day AND i find i talk to God while i am walking, somehow that seems to help me, it's like talking to a friend who understands and just listens and never ever judges) I find a little peace in reading very, very light stories. I try and do things that i am sure once gave me pleasure before i was in a depression. And sometimes it takes pushing myself alot, cause I don't ever want to do anything when I'm in a depression. My husband will say let's go to the park and we will just sit or walk there a little. He is great because he allows me to just BE when i am in a depression. If you have just 1 friend who can just allow you to be and say whatever is in your head if you want to talk, that is a great saving grace.
I admire and acknowledge you for the ability to continue to work as i know that is not easy. So go ahead a pat yourself on the back.
This is a wonderful place of nonjudgemental people who suffer or have suffered from depression. I, personally have been under control for the past 2 years. I am on EffexorXR and it works well for me.
Keep coming back and sharing whatever you want to.
in friendship,
Solie
