Hi Deb,
sorry I worried you, many warned me the full force of transition wouldn't hit me until I arrived here and that trip trauma on top of it had me at a very bad place, but it was brief, sometimes i really wonder how I am able to hold together, I think it's someone up there, everyone's support here, and my own strength.
Today is Wednesday and the day I truly begin to make my mark in Aiken. I'll meet people as I set up my post office box, checking account, and I've got two stops today, a temp agency for a screening process and the South Carolina Employment Security Commission. This week I'm fighting full force to keep my office career intact. Next week I'll need to look into survival work at the same time.
I'm still scared, but moving forward. Living in the country is nice during the day, at night it's a little scary, but the cats and I are coping. It feels good being near Sandy and Scott. And there is an element of peace and quiet I have regained which was so desperately needed.
Thanks for caring,
Love Brother Bill
