Subject: It's Sat. 7:15p.m. & believe it or not I am in Miami

I left yesterday at 4:20 p.m. and i made it in record time. It was an emergency trip after hearing from my son's girlfriend that he was missing for 2 days. Turns out he wasn't missing for 2 days, but he was missing. Not at work, no one knew where he was and he was supposed to meet his dad at 2:30 for a counsellor app't, which he never showed up for.
Anyway I called my employer and told her i had an emergency situation in Miami and I had to leave right away.
I left Kat with a neighbor and left with the clothes on my back. I called my ex while i was in the car and found out that he had already just started to look for him. At 6:30 he had found him. It took another 1/2 hour to get him out of the apt. he was in cause they would'nt allow my ex to enter and it wasn't until he threatened calling the police did they produce my son. I arrived in Miami at 7:45. The story was truly incredible. Jay hugged me an cried. Turns out he was sleeping all day there after a binge and he walked out w/o wallet or his phone.
My ex and I ended up calling his credit card company's last night and cancelling them all. My son went to bed at 9 p.m. last night and awoke at noon today. I had already gone food shopping for his favorite things plus ensure drink and a boost drink. He has been eating today and we just got done watching a movie. He is on house watch by both myself and my ex, although my ex is going out tonight with his girlfriend.
All is well. We have an app't Monday at 6p.m. to deal with how we will proceed now. My son says whatever we think is best and the professional thinks is best is what he will do. I have to call my employer tomorrow and let her know i will be in Miami all next week.
I will be in touch from here. Jay just came into his room now which is where i am typing from. We will be having dinner soon. We decided on Cuban food for dinner. It's a favorite and Miami has good cuban.
I am in good shape. Feeling useful, strong and on purpose.
