Subject: Good morning

We had a good cuban dinner last night. Jay's friend and gilrfriend came over and we all hate cuban here at the house together and then watched a movie. (family man).
Jay is feeling better, eating well (no, actually great) and all is on track. We have had lots of talks about all kinds of things. And what it boils down to is the past is the past and where do we go from here. We were trying to figure out some of why he felt the way he did as a kid, but we couldn't come to any conclusions. I have a feeling that he suffers from depression too and it is just not diagnosed. I had a talk with him about my meds and how wonderful they are, with no side effects.
Tomorrow when he, his dad and I go see the counsellor, will be say how predisposed he is to depression so the counsellor will have that information. My dad was an alcoholic (a sweet one) and my sister and I think that he was really a depressive that drank because he was depressed. In those days, they didn't know much about depression and they certainly didn't advocate antidepressants. So we shall see.
Jay appreciates the family and friends that love and support him. He realizes all he has going for him. When i asked him why he slipped (cause it's been years), he said he had access to it and he figured now at this point in his life that he could control it. We talked about that too, and he realized that he was thinking wrongly. Anyway he says whatever turns out to be the best thing for him to do, he will do. He is such a great kid. And there are so many people supporting him. Jay needs to learn life tools. His dad & I both agree on that. That basically the counselling best for him will deal with that, so he can effectively deal with the stresses in his life Gotta go someopne is knocking on the door.
love,
Solie
