Subject: Since no one else has brought it up...I will. America under attack!

I'm having a hard time concentrating on anything else. Yesterday I was getting ready for work and called my sister in NC. She told me to turn on the news. I was watching live when the towers collapsed. I still can't believe this happened. We've all been glued to the TV from the moment we got home from work until we go to bed and then it's back on while we get ready. Matt's History teacher was in the armed forces intelligence and needless to say he was upset yesterday. Matthew said he spent the whole class talking about it and saying that he knew that anyone involved in the armed forces and intelligence in this country was just itching to get back at the persons responsible for this. I think most of the country feels the same way. At work, I'm right next to the TVs so I got to keep up with it all day yesterday. A lot of people would stop by and watch it. When it showed those people in Afghanistan laughing and handing out candy because they are so happy about this, tempers were about to explode in the people in the store in front of the TV. How can anyone be so cruel that they laugh and cheer about innocent people being slaughtered? I mean sometimes war is necessary but when our country strikes others...even people that deserve it, we certainly don't cheer in the streets and laugh about the people who get killed..we don't even gloat about the military people from the opposite side that die. I just can't imagine being that sick.

Anyway...guess we all have this on our mind. Just knowing that we are not nearly as safe in this country as we thought we were...that's a hard pill to swallow.

Take care,
Sandy
