Scott and I are really looking forward to having you here. I feel like Scott, Matt and I are all on an adventure ourselves...at least I know I am. Trying to find myself, so to speak, trying to figure out who I am and what I can be. Having a little bit of a midlife crisis right now. I always thought that at 40 my life would be more settled and it would have been if the ex hadn't had his affair and pulled the disappearing act. I thought our house would be well along the way to being paid for, we'd be financially stable, able to do things, go places. But no use looking back. I've found a wonderful man to share my life with...a man that's 100 times the man the ex was, someone loving, caring and not just to me but to my son as well. He doesn't have to love Matthew, but he does and he is a real friend to him. That means so much to me. We're not financially stable yet, but we will be. It takes time to get there in any marriage. The important thing is we have each other and friends like you. Also, with Matt getting closer and closer to being grown, I'm wondering what I'll do with myself when he is grown and taking care of himself.

Anyway, you and I are in the same boat in a lot of ways. Maybe we can all figure it out together. In the meantime...there's lots of stuff to explore here. Plantations, the largest urban forest in the US, covered bridges in GA which aren't that far away, the beach two hours from here, lots of local parks, historic houses, state parks with canoeing, sites of civil war battles. Feel like doing some exploring???

Talk to you later,
Love,
Sandy
