Wow...I'm glad to see that your stepmother came through for you on this one. I know how much you were dreading dealing with her. That's great. I don't know what got into her but it's a welcome change, huh? It sounds like your visit with them went very well. I know it's difficult moving away from your parents. I'm not as far away as you are, but I do miss them. The funny thing is that I've probably seen more of them since I moved than I did before. I'd call them on the phone when I lived there, but I didn't actually visit in person that much. Now when I do go up there, I spend more quality time with them than before. Still, there's something about knowing that they are close by. On the other hand, it's been peaceful living here...fresh start and all that. Matt's doing fine too.

Anyway...I'm glad that went well and they didn't make you feel bad.

I know you'll find something, work-wise, once you get here. I got your email where you said there were a lot of available jobs in the paper. Hopefully that's a good sign :) It may just take getting here first and applying in person, I don't know.

Well, I am up early. Scott burned some bacon this morning and I couldn't sleep after that. The smell was too bad. Didn't seem to affect Matthew though. He just got up a few minutes ago and wanted to know why I'm up before him. He always sets his clock earlier than mine, gets in the shower and then goes back to bed. I wonder why he doesn't just sleep longer and then take his shower, but this is his routine, so who am I to question the logic? :)

Guess I'll go fix myself a waffle for breakfast and get ready. I have to go to the DMV to get my license renewed. I tried to do that Friday afternoon but the line was unreal.
