I disagree with you in the fact that I feel you are not an ash, rather a glowing ember! Do you remember your extraordinary story of your life you shared with us a while back? It hasn't been forgotten, you've been through quite the journey in life, and you shared, I guess it's called making a mark in life, or leaving something, that unique mark that each of us leave in life.
And we are special, all of us, whether it be our caring personalities, artistic talents, intelligence, achievements. In the end we may be ashes, but for now we support each other and try our best to make the most of this concept called life! We are like the campfire that threatens to turn to ashes, but we continue to fight and keep that fire going. And you are doing that! Look at what you wrote here, that came from the depths of your soul.
Not an ash my friend, I will remind you that you are that glowing ember in the fire of life.
Give yourself credit for your strong points!!
I think that I have this passion to make the most of what's left of my life, working in geriatrics (nursing homes) for 9 years, I cannot even count the number of funerals I've been to, how many people I've seen pass on, it's in the triple digits, and I've seen some achieve greatness in their life, but also some pass away with that depressed sorrow of feeling as if they were nothing but ashes. Very tough to see.
That's why I'm so much into seeing whatever positive there is, I also know so many in my face to face life who see no positive and I see their unhappiness.
So just know I'm in your corner and will rally behind you to remind you what a poetic talent and perception you have.
I'm getting ready to make changes in my life because my fears are within what you wrote, I see your points, but want to try and make the most of what's left. It may for me meaning moving away, selling what I have, starting over, to say look, I did this, I made this change, I can keep my embers glowing. Ok, corny, but you see my point??
Ok, rambling territory here, but hope some of this helps.
