Linda,
Thanks so much for responding. My husband has a bit of experience with mental disorders, unfortunately. When he was a child his dad listened to the voices in his head and chased his mother around the house and she had to take the kids and run. He's scared of me leading into that, I guess, and has seen what the anti-schizo drugs have done to his dad, and he doesn't want that to happen to me. I can understand his fears, but he needs to realize that they're unfounded. With depression and ADD I often can't keep a thought straight in my head and so I'd almost rather be a little slow to have it all clear and to be able to focus happily on something. I did make an appointment for us both to go to my therapist together and he got very angry and asked me to cancel it. He doesn't like other people fiddling in his life, and somehow he views meeting with my therapist and talking to her about me is a meddle in his life. I'm tempted to ask her to write a letter to him. There are some things I want him to know what I can't bring myself to tell him. He doesn't agree with her diagnoses, though, and so is skeptic of me going on any meds for what he views as a non existing condition anyway.

Thanks for writing back, and I hope to get a lot out of this board. I need to get going or I'll be late for my weekly appointment.

Hurricane
