I heard that rumor, too. I heard that they'll be coming over the Manhattan Bridge, and I've got a couple of questions.
First of all, why would the Sabbat close down the bridge a week ahead of time and let us know where they're coming? Especially when the Brooklyn Bridge is only a few blocks south of there?
Secondly, how will we know when they come over? A LOT of traffic crosses the bridge, as well as a subway. Now unless they manage to shut down the subway line down, too, it's going to be hard to stop them. We simply don't have the manpower to search every car/cab/subway that comes over that thing, and even if we could, vampires have a funny knack for passing as people.
Thirdly, the government spends millions of dollars a year making Manhattan accessible. It's not designed to be defensible - quite the opposite in fact. Between subways, cabs, and buses, an entire war party could very easily pop up at the Battery with very little warning. Why, then, would they come on foot across a bridge which leaves them exposed and vulnerable for an extended period of time? Especially when it such a distance from the Battery?
It just doesn't add up to me.
That said, you can count me in. I'd be glad to help. However, I think it might be better if we post a lookout at the bridge and have the rest of us "on call." After all, wouldn't it be funny if we were all lined up for a rumble on the bridge while the Sabbat blitz the battery without us knowing? We can't pretend that we can keep the Sabbat out of Manhattan because we can't keep anyone out of Manhattan. All we can do is kill them once they are here.
Now I'm not a tactition, this is just stuff that's crossed my mind lately. Any of you out there with some sense of tactics should step up to the microphone. Parker? Sanchez?
