A slender, tall girl of sixteen walks in, balancing two small girls, both sleeping, on her hips. Long, dark hair cascades around her pretty, heart-shaped face. Her sea-green eyes shine out at her new home. The children are also dark haired. All three are dressed humbly in rough dark-colored cloth.
