Subject: .:maiden:.

So many memories. Water, the ocean, the sand biting into her bare skin, the autumn sun soothing on her flesh. The waves lapping against her body. Them finding her.

When Rose had been a child, she had been abandoned on a beach. No one knew why. No one claimed her. Even she had no exact memory of what had happened. Except for the scraps left in the back of her mind.

Light, rainbows, bubbles, the swirling of water, sunlight, moonlight, shining down like gold and silver threads of wonder. Warm faces and voices, the feeling of home.

The pretty maiden slid from the raven colored horse's back. The dark green material of her gown swishing about her ankles. Her weather worn cloak pulled tight around her slender body. Her black hair flying back in the chill winter wind, a few snowflakes speckling the black locks. Her sea green eyes glinting in the greyness of the world as her soft booted feet thudded gently on the cobblestones. Sitting on the fountain, Rose watched the wind blow the water in slow ripples about, the snowflakes clinging to her face and melting, sending droplets running down her cheeks so they resembled tears. Looking up to the clouded sky, the maiden gave a small smile of hope. There still was hope. She might find out who she was and is here in this town. Rose secretly hoped that she would.
