Subject: old haunts

The young lad trudged slowly and grudgingly into the cobbled square, head of long, sooty hair hung low and striking blue eyes watching intently the ceaseless movement of his shoeless, dirt ridden feet.
His tattered shirt flowed carelessly in the warm breeze while the endless movement inside the sack strewn over his shoulder never failed to draw attention. That movement was the large, mohogany brown sewer rat named thief- though none watching would acknoledge that piece of information.
In his strong, Irish tongue, the youth voices his humble thoughts. N'where could all th'people be Thief, on such a busy day as ah sundy?
The muted patter of his bare feet comes to a sudden end and he regards his surrounding, wondering whether the exquisite girl he'd met here before and held such a bond with, would still be resident.
