In reply to: Dave Bye 's message, "Technical help on British Linotypes" on 06:16:15 09/07/01 Fri

Dave we have a model 48 Linotype, C3 American intertype and a C4 English Intertype at the Gulgong Pioneers Museum in NSW Australia. I have been having problems with the 48, keyboard
it's now working but not great. This machine was left in storage for about 8-10 years collecting dust and dirt.
I am now having trouble with the ejectors not returning.
I am not an operator, but i have worked on machines in the 50's to 70's but was working mainly as a comp and always had someone to help fix the machines. The oldest machine the C3 is in the best condition and has been used and serviced on a regular basis, I will concentrate on this machine for now.
Arthur Johnson at Gulgong NSW Australia.
