Retired Prof. G. Corban Goble who taught journalism at Western Kentucky at Bowling Green did an excellent article on "Obituary of a Corporation" with MLCo. the subject. He'd know if anyone would about the history of Mr. Gage. Incidentally, he used the paper for a dissertation at either Michigan State or the University of Michigan. I wrote for the dissertation on inter-library loan and they wouldn't let it out of the library. When you consider there are thousands--if not millions--of dissertations and theses gathering dust an eighth of an inch thick on university libraries, you'd think they'd welcome a legitimate inquiry. Patric Burns in Pennsylvania was a service engineer for them; he may have some knowledge of Mr. Gage. Good luck on your paper!
