Date Posted: 13:21:29 11/22/02 Fri If you get a lot of "clicking" noise from your Pianocorder Versetzer (or maybe even the standard Pianocorder unit), it might be the felt strip that is used to dampen the solenoid recoil has come loose. This is especially true in the low and high end octaves. In the Vorsetzer this is easily fixed by removing the four wood screws at each end of the upper "box" and the fiber board cover on the bottom of the box where the solenoid fingers come through. And removing the top unit to expose the solenoids and the driver circuit boards. (Be sure the unit is off when you do this as there is 170 volts on the circuit boards). The felt strips are located right above the top of the solenoids and can be reglued using contact cement. This made an amazing difference in my unit after fixing the felt strip.
