Subject: pianocorder not working

 I have a marantz pianocorder which has not been working since it was given to me 10 years ago. Recently I started tinkering with it. I did find that i had 2 fuses bad and replaced them. Now i have power, still no play. I have taken apart the cassette player and found that the spring tab is broke(i have read something about this occuring regularly) how to fix? also the head looks like it is scratched badly. I would really like to get this system working.
