I just want to introduce myself and say that I am the friend of Tom Lear and the one who has had the problem of getting to the pedal solenoids for servicing. Being a musician with not much of a mechanical mind I finally found that access to the pedal solenoids and rocker arms was only by dropping the bottom out of the Vorsetzer and from there it was a relatively simple task to dismantle the solenoid unit and rectify the problem. Everything is now back together and working well but I'm wondering what to do with all the parts left over :-) Right now, the Vorsetzer is playing from tapes and I just need to sort out Mark Fontana's software to get it all going from the computer.
