Date Posted: 10:33:17 10/17/04 Sun I recently received a used playback board for Pianocorder in need of repair. I was able to find the failing IC and remove it from the circuit board using a Dremel Mototool with a cutting disk. Using minimum heat, I then plucked the IC pins out one by one using a pair of tweezers. But there are circuit traces on both sides of the board. The holes are not plated through, so connections are made by the IC pins themselves. The connections on the bottom of the board are simple, but those on top are very difficult to make; some require that you solder underneath the bottom of the IC. Has anyone found a good procedure for making these connections? [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
