The following was posted by Sunsword (Live Producer), on the UO U.hall Board:
I hope the weekend finds all of you well.

I don't have time to go and post in all the threads individually, so I thought I'd do one summary post to touch on some of the things going on.

Housing Phase III - Some of you may have followed a discussion last week about Housing Phase III, so here's the follow up. First, for those of you that may not be aware, the update known as "Housing Phase III" is actually more than just turning off auto-refresh. It's a substantial update to the housing system which we have been working on for some time (obviously). It did *not* pass QA this week, as we found a new minor issue. Testing will continue this week. QA is performing like a really big, mean hockey goalie on this one, but then that's their job. I'll keep you posted.

News about Publish 19 - The 2 announced candidate items for Publish 19 are Vendor System Improvements and BOD Books. We're looking forward to discussions on both of these items in the following weeks, as I'm sure you'll have many opinions and thoughts.

Obviously, there's a great deal of apprehension surrounding the vendor changes. Right now, I think the lack of detail in the information found on "In Concept" ( http://update.uo.com/design_439.html ) is making it difficult for people to work through whatever concerns they have regarding the Vendor System. We knew that more information would be needed and so the dev team will be working next week with our wonderful OCR folks to create a very in-depth "walkthru" of the planned changes (including screenshots of interfaces). Ideally, this will provide the information necessary to have a constructive and useful discussion on the merits of the designs, and an opportunity to incorporate changes.

We plan to do the same for BOD books as well, so there should be a heckuva lot to talk about at the end of next week.

UO Live Team Changes - There are some staff changes to talk about next week. Some folks are getting moved around to new responsibilities, and you should also see some new job postings in the near future. So if you think you've got the skills, pay attention to http://www.origin.ea.com/jobs.html. Just so you know, we'll be looking for addtional programming and art talent to join the UO Live team.

That's it for now. It's late here, so I'll check back on this thread in the morning.
