I was hoping to jump on the template advice thread's band wagon.
An seeing as Gullveig is offering tips and advice, i thought i would put forward my own conundrum.
Like all other i have my account full,
Three chars i wouldn't change for the world, Mr C -Archer/Mage(no eval int), Grizz - Tamer/Mage and my mule Jaimison - Tailor etc, but no smith.
My problem lies with my first char Trent -Axer
After much training Trent became a 7 X GM, Aug 2002,
Swords, Parry, Tactics, Anat, Lumber, Resist (102) and Heal (715 point to work with).Str 99 Int 25 Dex 101.
He was useful once when resist worked against all spells, but i find that with out Focus his stamina is shot always.
Because of this and his inability to recall very well (zero magery = 10-15 tries with a scroll) i tend to not use him much at all.
Q's -- Do i drop parry for focus ? Heal for Chivalry ? Is Resist worth much any more, interestingly he has 40 of each resists even when naked ?
Next comes Sandon - Macer.
Like Trent he has little to no focus or magery.
GM Mace(110), Tact, Anat, Stealth & Hiding.
90'ish Heal locked, and 70 Resist with the balance in focus 35 odd. Str 100 Int 15 Dex 110.
I love the quarter staff the much forgoten weapon in UO, very quick, cheap. I did the Stealth/Hide thing for the challenge but have little use for it.
And am at a loss to know what to do with either of these two.
So my questions are for Gullvieg and indeed anyone else please help criticise anything, and ideas will be greatfully received.
Thanks in advance.
